Every collaboration is structured according to the client’s objectives, organisation and operational requirements. By intentionally limiting the number of concurrent projects we undertake, we maintain direct involvement, technical continuity and clear accountability throughout every stage of development and manufacture.
INITIAL EVALUATION
Every collaboration begins with a thorough evaluation of the project, its objectives and the context in which it will be developed. The information provided may range from an initial concept or creative brief to existing designs, CAD files or established collections requiring further development or manufacture.
Beyond the jewellery itself, we assess the intended market, commercial positioning, production requirements, expected volumes, timing and the capabilities already available within the client’s organisation. This enables us to define the most appropriate scope of collaboration, whether for a one-of-a-kind creation, a bespoke commission, a private label collection, repeat production or the integration of selected development and manufacturing capabilities into an existing structure.
Not every project is accepted. Each opportunity must align with our expertise, professional standards, operational capacity and ability to deliver the level of quality and attention expected by our clients.
DEVELOPMENT & DECISION MAKING
Successful jewellery development is guided by informed judgement rather than mechanical execution. Every decision influences not only the appearance of a jewel, but also its structural integrity, manufacturability, durability, wearability, serviceability and commercial viability.
Creative ambition, engineering requirements and manufacturing constraints are therefore evaluated together throughout the development process. Depending on the project, our involvement may range from refining an existing design or optimising a manufacturing process to the complete technical development and engineering of a jewel ready for production.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Every collaboration is coordinated directly by Shira Ghaffari within a single operational and manufacturing framework. We remain responsible for the development, execution and overall consistency of the work entrusted to us, bringing together the specialised expertise and Italian manufacturing capabilities required for each project.
Clients work directly with Shira Ghaffari through clearly defined responsibilities, direct communication and continuity throughout the collaboration. According to the client’s structure and internal resources, we may manage the entire process or integrate selected development and manufacturing capabilities into an existing organisation.
CONFIDENTIALITY & DISCRETION
For Shira Ghaffari, discretion is not an additional service. It is an essential condition of every professional relationship. Designs, technical information, commercial strategies, collection plans, materials and every other element entrusted to Shira Ghaffari are handled with strict discretion throughout development and manufacture.
Access to project information is limited exclusively to the professionals directly involved in its execution. Where appropriate, confidentiality obligations may be further strengthened through specific non-disclosure agreements. The identity of our clients and the nature of the work undertaken on their behalf are never disclosed or used for communication purposes without prior authorisation.
MATERIALS, COMPLIANCE & TRACEABILITY
The responsibility for a finished jewel begins with the responsibility for the materials from which it is created. The precious metals, diamonds and coloured gemstones required for production are normally selected, sourced and supplied under the responsibility of Shira Ghaffari through our established Italian supply chain. Where clients wish to incorporate important gemstones already in their possession, their suitability may be evaluated according to the technical, aesthetic and commercial requirements of the project. As a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council, Shira Ghaffari operates in accordance with internationally recognised standards for responsible business practices throughout the jewellery supply chain.
Jewellery manufactured under our responsibility complies with applicable Italian precious-metal legislation and, where required, bears the legally prescribed fineness mark together with our registered identification mark, 2500 MI. Where clients are legally entitled to apply their own Italian identification mark, production may be organised accordingly. Compliance, traceability and supporting documentation are managed as integral elements of every collaboration.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
DELIVERY & LONG-TERM SUPPORT
Our responsibility does not conclude when production is completed. According to the scope of the collaboration, Shira Ghaffari manages presentation packaging, product documentation, insured international shipping and the documentation required for export and customs procedures.
We continue to support our clients through repairs, maintenance, alterations, repeat production and the ongoing development of existing collections. By retaining the technical and operational knowledge accumulated throughout each collaboration, we are able to provide greater continuity, efficiency and understanding as our clients’ requirements evolve over time.
