MATERIALS
Materials are selected according to the technical, aesthetic and commercial requirements of each project. Most collaborations involve precious metals and natural diamonds or coloured gemstones commonly used in Fine and High Jewellery. Other precious or non-precious materials may also be considered where appropriate.
Shira Ghaffari does not work with laboratory-grown diamonds or synthetic coloured gemstones. Precious-metal articles bear the legally required fineness mark. Shira Ghaffari’s registered Italian identification mark, 2500 MI, is also applied where required under the regulations governing the destination market, including jewellery placed on the Italian market.
MANUFACTURING
Shira Ghaffari is based in Milan, Italy. Development and manufacturing take place entirely in Italy, within a single organisation operating under one technical responsibility.
Shira Ghaffari is a Certified Member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC).
TYPICAL TIMEFRAMES
Development generally requires between three and six months, depending on the complexity of the project. Manufacturing generally requires between sixty and ninety days following order confirmation. Every project is scheduled individually according to its technical requirements, production planning and material availability
COMMERCIAL TERMS
Every project is quoted individually. Payment is structured as an advance before work begins, with the balance due prior to delivery. Commercial terms are agreed as part of each individual quotation.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Confidentiality forms part of the normal working process. Where appropriate, non-disclosure agreements are signed before detailed technical or commercial information is exchanged. All information shared by clients is treated as confidential.

Who do you work with?
We work with selected jewellers, independent jewellery brands, retailers and designers seeking Fine and High Jewellery development and manufacturing in Italy.
Do you manufacture from an existing design?
Yes. Projects may begin from sketches, CAD files, prototypes, technical drawings, existing jewellery or fully developed concepts supplied by the client.
Can you support only part of a project?
Yes. Depending on the client’s requirements, we may support an entire project or provide selected services such as technical development, CAD engineering, prototyping, gemstone sourcing or manufacturing.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
There is no standard minimum order quantity. Each enquiry is evaluated individually according to its objectives, technical complexity, commercial viability and production requirements.
Can you manufacture a single piece?
Yes. One-of-a-kind creations and bespoke commissions may be undertaken where they are consistent with the nature of the project and our manufacturing capabilities.
Can previous designs be manufactured again?
Yes. Repeat production and ongoing reorders form an established part of our work. Each new production cycle is quoted individually, taking into account current specifications, material costs and manufacturing conditions.
Can clients supply their own gemstones?
Yes. Client-owned gemstones may be incorporated into a project following technical evaluation. Where required, Shira Ghaffari can also source diamonds and coloured gemstones as part of the development process.
Do you sign non-disclosure agreements?
Yes. Confidentiality agreements are routinely used whenever required by the nature of the project.
Are shipments insured?
Yes. All national and international shipments are insured according to their destination and declared value.
Who is responsible for customs duties and import taxes?
Unless otherwise agreed, customs duties, taxes and import charges are the responsibility of the client or the designated importer in the destination country.
Do you provide after-sales support?
After-sales support is primarily intended for jewellery developed or manufactured by Shira Ghaffari.
