PRECISION, CONTROL & SAVOIR-FAIRE

STRUCTURED JEWELLERY PRODUCTION

Shira Ghaffari produces fine and high jewellery within Italy’s leading jewellery districts, combining highly skilled manufacturing expertise, technical excellence and rigorous production control.

Its production infrastructure is organised to support different levels of complexity, from private label collections and capsule developments to one of a kind jewels, coordinated sets and technically demanding pieces. Manufacturing processes are defined according to the materials, construction, scale and quality requirements of each project, within a framework aligned with RJC standards and responsible jewellery practices.

This organisation allows Shira Ghaffari to operate with both solidity and flexibility, supporting highly specific one-off jewels, small series and collection-based work with reliability, discretion and control.

MATERIALS WORKED

Shira Ghaffari works with selected materials for fine and high jewellery production, including 18k gold, platinum, diamonds, coloured gemstones and precious elements requiring specialised handling.

Selection is guided by quality, integrity and suitability for the intended jewel. Each metal, stone or precious element is evaluated for its aesthetic value, technical behaviour, durability and ability to meet the required standard of execution.

As an RJC-certified company, Shira Ghaffari operates within responsible jewellery standards, with attention to sourcing practices, traceability and material integrity.

HANDMADE AND MACHINE-SUPPORTED PRODUCTION

Jewellery manufacture requires both highly skilled handwork and advanced technical equipment. Shira Ghaffari selects the appropriate production method according to the technical requirements of each piece, combining manual execution in goldsmithing, assembly, stone setting, finishing and adjustment with machine-supported processes where precision, repeatability, consistency or structural accuracy are required.

Machine-supported operations may include CNC, laser welding, micro-drilling, precision polishing, component preparation, chain making and other technical processes used to support accuracy, consistency and refined execution. The distinction is not between handmade and machine-made, but between the correct method and the correct result.

    GOLDSMITHING, ASSEMBLY AND CONSTRUCTION

Goldsmithing and assembly are central to the production of fine and high jewellery. Shira Ghaffari realises pieces requiring precise construction, clean assembly and reliable structural execution, from casting, soldering, shaping and mounting to component assembly, clasp integration, articulated elements, modular parts and flexible structures. Each component must function correctly within the whole jewel: a clasp must close securely, a joint must move smoothly, a flexible element must retain both movement and stability, and a modular component must connect with accuracy. Construction is treated as a core production discipline, determining how the jewel wears, moves, resists use and preserves its quality over time.

      STONE SETTING

Stone setting is carried out according to the type of jewel, the nature of the stones and the intended technical and visual result. Production may include pavé, prong, bezel, channel, invisible, micro-pavé, snow setting or other refined and complex setting solutions, as well as arrangements involving diamonds, coloured gemstones, calibrated stones or important centre stones.

Shira Ghaffari has specific expertise in graduated colour arrangements, where gemstones are selected, matched and positioned to create controlled transitions between shades, tones or colour intensities. This requires precise coordination between stone selection, layout and setting, ensuring a fluid, balanced and technically refined result.

        SPECIALISED TECHNIQUES

Shira Ghaffari supports a wide range of specialised jewellery techniques, selected according to the structure, function and complexity of each piece. The work may include handmade and machine-made chains, tubogas, flexible mechanisms, articulated constructions, inlay work, enamelling, hand finishing, polishing, refined surface treatments, modular systems and technical integrations.

These capabilities allow Shira Ghaffari to manage different levels of production complexity: from fine jewellery lines requiring precision, consistency and repeatability to high jewellery pieces involving volume, movement, multiple components, demanding settings or specific construction challenges. Each technique is applied according to function. Chains must have fluidity and resistance. Tubogas must retain structure and flexibility. Enamel and inlay require preparation, precision and clean finishing. Mechanisms must move correctly and remain reliable. Surface treatments must be coherent across visible and hidden areas.

        PRODUCTION VOLUMES AND FLEXIBILITY

Shira Ghaffari is organised to support different production scales, from one of a kind jewels and special commissions to small series, capsule collections and private label projects. The production framework is adapted to the specific requirements of each assignment. Some projects require a dedicated one-off construction solution around a stone, mechanism or design language. Others require repeatability, consistency and controlled execution across multiple pieces.

This flexibility allows Shira Ghaffari to respond to different client needs without applying a single production model to every project. The same production infrastructure can support a high jewellery piece, a coordinated suite, a capsule line or a private label collection, while maintaining appropriate levels of technical control, quality consistency and discretion.

        QUALITY STANDARDS AND FINAL CONTROL

Quality control is applied throughout production and at final inspection, with attention to construction, setting, alignment, articulation, clasp function, surface quality, polishing and overall reliability. Checks may include stone security, metal porosity, setting stability, comfort, movement, symmetry and finishing across both visible and hidden parts of the jewel.

For private label and collection-based work, this supports consistency across multiple pieces and coherence with the client’s quality expectations. As an RJC-certified company, Shira Ghaffari integrates responsible jewellery standards into its production approach, supporting quality, traceability, integrity and responsible practices. A finished jewel must be correctly built, securely set, properly finished and reliable in use.

        JEWELLERY DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

Manufacture is strongest when the technical preparation is clear. Before entering production, each jewel is supported by modelling, CAD, prototypes, technical drawings or dimensional studies where required, allowing construction, proportions and feasibility to be defined with accuracy. Shira Ghaffari connects technical preparation and production to ensure that each jewel moves into manufacture with clarity, control and coherence.
